[size=45]The Speaker of Parliament said that the House of Representatives voted in March on the formulation of a resolution in principle to abolish the offices of general inspectors, stressing the Council's commitment to what was voted on. Al-Halbousi added that «the offices of general inspectors are still working by the dissolved Coalition Authority issued by the Civil Governor Paul Bremer No. (57) for the year 2004», pointing out that «these offices were not able in previous years to stop the waste of public money, and must activate the role Integrity and Financial Supervisory Authority. 
Al-Halbousi said that «the competence of the Council of Representatives, in accordance with Article 61 of the Constitution, to oversee the performance of the executive authority, and may not continue the work of the offices of general inspectors in a way that allows the government to monitor itself through the work of these offices, and this is contrary to the tasks of the legislative authority», He called «the government to abide by the decisions of the House of Representatives».
Last Thursday, the Prime Minister issued a court order to create offices of general inspectors in seven government agencies. In this context, the legal expert Ahmad al-Abadi told «Middle East» that «the offices of general inspectors came as a result of Bremer Order No. 57 since 2004, and these offices are still leading the scene since that day until today», noting that «Iraq, and because of the offices of inspectors Generalists, lead the world in not fighting corruption, not vice versa ». 
Abadi added that «the Prime Minister's order to create new inspectors' offices has added insult to injury, at a time when the parliament is working to legislate a law to abolish it, noting that it issued a decision to abolish it in principle». And not the other way around, but to fight corruption in the Commission on integrity and financial control ».
For his part, attacked the independent Iraqi politician Izzat Shabandar experience of general inspectors in Iraq, saying that «corrupt hindered until the right action, to prove their worth in their mission». "What does it mean to return to the same experience, even if it failed for a lean years?" Shabandar asked. 
The head of the Finance Committee in the Iraqi parliament Haitham al-Jubouri, said in a statement yesterday, that the Committee «expresses great surprise at the deliberate Iraqi government breach of the independence of the Central Bank, and insist on interfering in its policy and management, in violation of the text of Article 2 of the Central Bank Law, which It stipulated that no person or government would be allowed to interfere with the work of the bank or its monetary policy.
Jubouri added: «We remind the government that this position was formerly in the Central Bank, and was canceled in 2008 because of conflict with the law of the bank in force». Al-Jubouri called for an "immediate halt to this step," warning of its external repercussions and its negative repercussions on international agreements and assessments. 
A document issued by the Presidency of the Government, recently, showed a court order to establish the offices of general inspectors in the Central Bank of Iraq, the Investment Commission, the Electoral Commission, the Human Rights Commission, the Iraqi Bank for Trade, the Popular Mobilization Authority and the National Security Agency.[/size]
