    The Integrity Committee of the Parliament, on Wednesday, a large corruption deal using insulating materials adulterated to the pipelines transporting oil in the project Dome Safwan oil, indicating its intention to open the file and revealed those involved.
    Committee member Abdul Amir al-Mayahi told Al-Maalouma that the Safwan oil dome project was completed in 2017 and received by the Basra Oil Company.
    He added that "the project contracted with a foreign company with a headquarters in Basra to provide the site with insulation material for the pipes are free of any moisture to prevent oxidation of oil pipelines."
    He explained that "through knowing it was found that the company provided the project with insulation material containing 70% water, which caused the oxidation of many pipes did not last three years."
    He continued that "the committee will open the file in full and investigate with the parties involved in the project and refer them to the judiciary as well as negligence by some quarters."
