    Baghdad - Mawazine News
in the Times newspaper report to Jordan Segal entitled "Baghdadi sick give Qardash leadership of ISIS."
The writer says Baghdadi handed over the organization's daily affairs department to his aide Abdullah Qardash, a former officer in Saddam Hussein's army who rose to prominence in extremist organizations after the fall of Saddam in 2003. He adds that Baghdadi's decision increases speculation about Baghdadi's injury and ill health.
Al-Baghdadi, 48, and Qardash, aged unknown, were arrested in 2003 for links to al-Qaeda and detained together in Basra. For what he described as a state of succession.
The writer says that Baghdadi began his career as a jihadist leader in a very public way, where he delivered a sermon from the mosque of Nuri in Mosul in 2014, to declare the birth of his succession. He adds that Baghdadi's first video recording in five years appeared in April this year, and part of his beard was henna and said he was in good health.
Analysts told the newspaper that al-Baghdadi had chosen a successor to take over the rebuilding of the organization, while Baghdadi himself renewed the organization's rhetoric to attract recruits as it was at the beginning.
"Baghdadi will not relinquish his post," Fadhil Abu Ragheef, a former security analyst with the Iraqi government, told the newspaper.
"There are three likely reasons for Baghdadi to be chosen as another leader of the organization: to fill the gaps in the organization, to unite with Qardash, which is popular among the group's members, and to prepare him for the organization's leadership at a later stage," Abu Raghef said.
Security forces in the area have warned that the remaining cells of the Islamic State remain organized enough to launch attacks and exploit any power vacuum, the writer says.
