The ministry said in a statement received by Alsumaria News, a copy of it that "some social networking sites quoted a statement from the Chairman of the Finance Committee in the House of Representatives Haitham al-Jubouri talking about the amounts of rent of the home of the Minister of Finance and some employees in his office and mentioned the amounts in numbers," indicating that "the MP's statement is old "For a long time he was talking about another minister."
"The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance lives in one of the houses of the Iraqi government and there is no house for the director of his office, secretary and security director," she said, adding that "this information is false and inaccurate."
The ministry demanded "the media and social networking sites to be careful and take the information from its official sources."
It is noteworthy that a number of media and social networking sites had earlier transmitted a video clip of MP Haitham al-Jubouri talking about the amount of rent for the house of the Minister of Finance and the director of his office.
