    Today, Saturday, Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul-Jabbar Ismail confirmed the ministry's keenness to support the oil sector companies in order to achieve sustainable economic development plans, noting that all programs and plans implemented by the oil sector companies aim to achieve two goals. The first is to reach the planned increases of crude oil in Within the coming years, the second is to invest all quantities of gas produced in all fields.
    The minister said in a speech followed by the "National News Center", during the inauguration of the gas isolation station and the water injection unit in the Maysan Oil Company, that "the purpose of this is to stabilize the provision of gas supplies for the production of electric power and all industries associated with this type of fuel," noting that " All these fragmented and successive projects are to achieve this goal, and this came during the opening of the gas isolation unit and the upgrading of crude oil specifications, and the water injection unit in Bazerkan and Fakka field with a capacity of (68) thousand barrels per day.”
    He added that "these projects are among the necessary, important and integrative projects in production operations with the aim of upgrading the specifications of Iraqi crude oil, with the aim of achieving and enhancing national financial returns, in addition to protecting oil reservoirs and maintaining production levels in the field, which is one of the challenges facing the oil industry, and they are challenges production and marketing stage.
    The minister explained that “Iraq, as the second oil exporting country in the “OPEC” organization, must maintain this level by perpetuating oil reservoirs and fields,” noting that “the Ministry of Oil and the National Oil Company support this investment activity in all oil fields, which would maximize national revenues and works to develop the economy.”
    He praised "the efforts of the employees of the Maysan Oil Company," stressing that "the company is one of the most important national companies in terms of production capacity. We support its investment activity to achieve high productivity rates."
    Ismail added, “The importance of these projects in adding direct investment and commercial value, as well as adding an opportunity to advance the societal development of the region, as these events contributed to creating and providing many job opportunities during the implementation phase and the operating phase.”
    For his part, Director General of Maysan Oil Company Ali Jassim said, "These projects that were opened today are a series of projects implemented by his company in cooperation with international companies and contracting companies that aim to increase production capacity and improve the quality of oils extracted from the ground."
    He pointed out that "the water injection projects are complementary projects with the development projects of the surface facilities of the oil fields, and they come in response to the requirements of the production operations, adding that these projects were accomplished with high specifications despite the health and economic challenges, in cooperation with the Chinese company operating the field (Cinoc)."
    In the same context, the second deputy of the National Oil Company, Laith Al-Shaher, stressed that the projects to improve the quality of production of oil extracted by the oil companies aim to increase the financial return of Iraq, whose economy depends primarily on revenues from crude oil exports, an effort undertaken by the Ministry and the Company.
