The police on Monday said that they had found 17 bullet-riddled bodies in different areas of Baghdad and that other attacks killed 10 people. The authorities found the bodies of 14 men and three women dumped in the streets late Sunday and early Monday, two police officers said. Some had been shot, some were blindfolded and bound, and some showed signs of being tortured, the police said. Also Monday, gunmen killed four men in Baghdad, and bombs killed six people and wounded 21 in separate explosions, one just south of Baghdad and the other in northwestern Baghdad, the police said.
