Today, Wednesday, parliamentarians are preparing to resolve the issue of their participation in the difficult parliamentary session to elect a new president of the republic, but an atmosphere of lack of optimism dominates the chances of achieving progress in this regard.
The Presidency of the Parliament included on the agenda of the session another article related to the selection of the permanent parliamentary committees, but doubts remain about the possibility of the success or failure of today's session as a result of political differences between the current and the framework.
Last Saturday, Parliament failed to determine the entitlement to elect the president, due to the lack of a quorum for the session, as two-thirds of the members of the Council must be present, i.e. 220 deputies out of a total of 329.
