On Friday, Bitcoin crossed the $30,000 barrier for the first time since August, bringing its gains during the week to more than ten percent.
The world's largest traded cryptocurrency rose 4.8 percent during the day to $30,037, its highest level since August 9.
In light of the escalation of tensions in the Middle East, there is an increasing demand for safe havens, including cryptocurrencies and metals, especially gold.
