The spokesman for the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources in the Kurdistan Regional Government, Hiwa Ali, confirmed today, Wednesday, that work is underway on dozens of agricultural products to become international brands and be officially exported to foreign countries.[/size]
[size=45]Hiwa said, “Some products, such as pomegranates, honey, strawberries, apples, and potatoes, obtained the international trademark and were sent abroad, or their export is in its final stages, which will bring great benefits to agriculture in Kurdistan and increase farmers’ income.”[/size]
[size=45]He added: “A number of foreign companies took samples of about 50 of our agricultural products and took them to their countries for research and set some conditions and guidelines for our farmers to produce in this way. After assigning a group of farmers to produce under these conditions, their products will be classified and exported to other countries.”[/size]
[size=45]Ali pointed out, “According to the plan that was drawn up for agriculture, work will be done to improve the quality of all agricultural products, even those that are not exported, and we will try to increase production, so that we can transform from a consuming area into a productive and self-sufficient area.”[/size]
