Banking expert exclude entry of local banks to international markets

Baghdad (news) .. Ruled out an expert in banking affairs on behalf of Jamil Antoine, the entry of local banks two branches the public and private sectors to world markets because of the restrictions imposed on Iraq under Chapter VII International.
Antoine said (of the Agency news): The local banks are still tied at home and need to restructure and develop and this is due to the absence of a joint coordination and cooperation between them and the central bank, in addition to government control over weak banks.
He added: restrictions imposed on Iraq under Chapter VII of the UN before, made the local banks' relationship with the global weak, except for the Trade Bank of Iraq, which works in partnership with the U.S. banks.
He explained: that local banks have high professional competence but need support and development and restructuring, as well as strengthen ties with foreign banks to enter strongly into the global banking markets. / End / 8.'s. M /
