Earthquakes off the Oregon coast - USGS photo.jpg
SALEM, Ore. -- A 4.9 and 4.2 earthquake shook off the coast of Oregon at around noon on Sunday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The first quake was measured at 4.2, striking about 200 miles from the coastline at around 11:50 a.m. Sunday. The second 4.9 quake hit at about 12:10 p.m. in roughly the same area.
A third earthquake was reported at around 7:20 a.m. several miles to the northeast of the other two quakes.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has not issued any sort of warning or alert from the earthquake.
