Debt on the Arab countries amounted to 923.4 billion dollars in 2016

Report of the Arab Investment Guarantee Corporation and Export Credit revealed that the total external debt of twenty Arab countries reached 923.4 billion dollars in 2016, equivalent to twice what it was in 2000, the size of the debt.
The agency quoted Russia Today in the news I followed Agency / information / that "the debt on the Arab countries the volume jumped from 426.4 billion dollars in 2000 to about 891 billion dollars by 2014, then to $ 878 billion in 2015, about 923.4 billion dollars in 2016 ".
She added that "the increase was the result of the feet of many countries in the region to borrow and issue sovereign bonds to finance the deficit in the public budget, given the continued rise in spending."
