    [ltr]Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the parliament Human Rights Committee, Salim al-Jubouri discussed with the senior Democracy Counsellor at the US embassy in Iraq, Edward White, the human rights file in Iraq and the mechanism to activate the democracy principles.[/ltr]
    [ltr]A statement by the Committee, reported “Head of the HR Committee received White where they discussed the situation of human rights in Iraq and the extent of applying the democracy in dealing with human rights files.”[/ltr]
    [ltr]Jubouri referred, during the meeting, to the importance of supporting the human rights by the international authorities specialized in the human rights, noting “the committee worked fairly and impartially in considering all the concerned files.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The two sides agreed on enhancing the cooperation through establishing mutual works to exchange expertise and views to set the required mechanism to upgrade the democracy and human rights standards in Iraq.[/ltr]
