Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraqi Premier Haidar al-Ibadi charged the Iraqi parliament of transferring

50 billion dinars in the Iraqi budget to the allocations of the parliament.

He added that these funds are to be used "to appoint relatives in parliament through pressures against the Iraqi Cabinet.

These funds were transferred under different clauses as "assistance to the poor", he added.

Observers here reminded that Premier Ibadi was severely attacked by the parliament to the extent that it demanded demoting him or his resignation, so the time is ripe to counter attack in a "documented way".

On 26 February, 2017, Dawa Party MP Haidar al-Ka'bi disclosed that the salaries of the parliament members shall be increased from 4 to 5 million dinars monthly starting from February, 2017, but the Parliament Speaker Saleem al-Jbouri announced the next day that there will be no increase in the salaries.
