    Denied the Ministry of Commerce, on Tuesday, Matnaqlth some media and social networking sites, on the rumors about cancellation or privatization of the ration card, stressing that the central government, formed committees representing the ministries and bodies concerned with this matter, the reform of the ration card system.

    The statement added that " the government has formed a high - level committees representing ministries and bodies competent to reform the ration card system that gives citizens more flexibility and helps slice the poor and needy , " noting that " the Commission has reached the decisions and recommendations are applied on the ground, in order to know their ability to absorb the system the card and provide a suitable environment to help citizens, that the Ministry of Commerce Bttaghir flour and distributed to all covered, as well as its role in providing strategic stocks. "
    It continued the ministry, in its statement, that " the Supreme Committee for the reform of the ration card system, hand Alhaidariya chose to be an experimental environment during which recognize the success of the mechanisms adopted in order to choose to spend or hand to be wider environment, and thus circulate the idea to all regions of the country, a list of grants freedom of the citizen to choose the vocabulary of food through the smart card, "pointing out that it" will go to manage the business and the provision of services approved by the law, and also contribute to the stability of market prices and intervention in the case of high prices in commercial markets. "
    The stalled Ministry of Commerce in the distribution of the ration card items during the last term, even after the cancellation of most of the vocabulary that was distributed in 2003 before which was limited to four of them, only a flour, rice, sugar and oil.
    The Council of Ministers decided in 2014, to transfer the management of the ration card items file to the provinces, that the infrastructure will be ready in each province receives the management of this file, according to the Cabinet decision, the local administrations will take over the task of contracting with foreign and local companies to import the ration card items.
