Independent MP Haider Tariq Al-Shamkhi warned, today, Tuesday, the government against the delay in sending the 2024 budget schedules to Parliament, stressing that this delay reflects negatively on all government service sectors.
Shamkhi said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “All service sectors, including health and education, suffer from spending due to the lack of a budget.”
He added, "The House of Representatives is pressuring the government to expedite sending the budget schedules for the current year 2024," noting that "this delay negatively affects bonuses and promotions and hinders the implementation of projects."
He pointed out that "the House of Representatives is ready to approve the budget schedules as soon as they reach the Parliamentary Finance Committee next week," noting that "the delay in sending the schedules will negatively affect investment projects." Ended / 25 h
