    It raised the Israeli Cabinet's decision, to approve the construction of a new settlement in the West Bank for the first time in 20 years, and the seizure of approximately 977 dunums of Palestinian lands a wave of international condemnation of overwhelming.
    Egypt condemned the Israeli decision, and confirmed a statement issued by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry that the continuation of settlement activities and the accelerated pace, reduces the chances of a two-state solution, and undermine efforts to resume the peace process, and to revive the negotiations between the Palestinian and Israeli sides, with a view to reaching a just and comprehensive settlement to the Palestinian issue based on the terms of reference international and the decisions of international legitimacy.
    The statement added that the decision undermines the right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent state on the borders of June 1967, with its capital in East Jerusalem, as imposing a fait accompli contrary to the principles and resolutions of international legitimacy.
