Trade: Iraq depends on the local production of wheat
Economy News Baghdad:
Ministry of Commerce announced on Monday that Iraq depends on the local production of wheat crop since last year.
The Chairman of the General Company for Grain Trade Management, Haitham Khali in a press release , "Economy News" received a copy of it, " The General Company for Grain Trade transport fleet continues to local transport wheat from the northern company sites towards the center and the south in order to promote and secure the share of civil and governmental mills All the provinces of the country. "
" The dependence on domestic production of wheat since last year and until this moment is an achievement never before Iraq that has achieved since Toisseha," he said . "This accomplishment was achieved without the farmer and the Iraqi farmer was keen on the production and government interest in plans to support cultivation of the basics of food."
He explained that " to coincide with the start of the marketing season for wheat crop we have we have completed a full year dependent on the national production of local wheat (100%) , which is a great achievement , " and expressed hope that "this year , production surplus we need and be a kind and as" .
