    {Baghdad} Euphrates News said Director General of the General Company for Textile Industries Leather and Ahmed Al-Kaabi, on Monday that the national product suffered deliberate neglect.
    He said Kaabi, told {Euphrates News}, that " the domestic industry has suffered from the negligence of deliberate, as we appeal to since 2003 , should not be disabled, what caused it of wasting public money, as well as provide jobs for tens of thousands of affiliates who are paid their salaries from companies. "
    He added that " the operation was intended, and contributed to the neighboring countries , which has set up factories on the Iraqi boundary between like a guarantor of the Iraqi market , " noting that "many laws which initiated the national product and the consumer protection tariff and customs, but did not apply."
    Kaabi noted that " the Iraqi industry above the level of competition, and are subject to standardization and quality control, and our labs are ISO certified, on the contrary , foreign industries that are imported."
    He stressed that " the products that enter the poor and bad country and make waste , " pointing out "will be in front of the government a large file after editing operations, as the government should turn to the national industry, in the industry today we have more than 120 thousand member and if our main workforce we need weaken them ".
    He continued Al - Kaabi, said that "not to build the national industry touches Iraqi sovereignty," he said . "We are able to open up the prospects for the private sector to be a partner and a key player, we have the ministry in solid opportunities for the private sector."
    The House of Representatives voted on the fourth of last December, approving the proposal of a member of the board of his presidency , Sheikh Hamoudi, within the 2017 budget law, the judge to compel the ministries and provinces and departments not associated with the Ministry to buy their products from the ministries or local product.
    According to the text of the resolution: "No less than the added value of these bundled products and manufactured 25% of the cost of import value added to them and to the prices of domestic products higher than imported counterparts will not be increased by more than 10% , taking into account the quality and quality specifications."
