    Wikileaks: Mohammed bin Zayed asked the Americans bombed "Al-Jazeera" headquarters




    leaked document revealed through the website "WikiLeaks" asked Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Americans bombed Al-Jazeera during the US war on Afghanistan.

    The document cited what he said Mohammed bin Zayed for a meeting of his father, Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan and Qatari Emir Hamad bin Khalifa, who expressed the latter in which deplored the previous request for Mohammed bin Zayed, during the American war on Afghanistan, Gen. Tommy Franks pounding the island's headquarters.

    The document refers to the transfer of Ibn Zayed "laughing" replied his father on the Emir of Qatar: "Can you blame him for that?".

    The document shows that Mohammed bin Zayed gave advice to the Americans not to take journalists in the first wave of the attack on Afghanistan; so as not to give rise to scenes of civilian victims angry Arab reactions.

    Ibn Zayed was advised to avoid the bombing of civilians, but he called for not showing it in front of people.

    The document refers -alta reprinted later on Altoasl- sites to a meeting between bin Zayed and the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces at the time, Richard Haass, two months before the invasion of Iraq.

    The paper explains that Ibn Zayed gave several tips to the Americans about Iraq and the news that spin in Baghdad, and how to contain the Arab discontent.

    The document spoke about Ibn Zayed asked the Americans to put pressure on Qatar; in order to rein in the coverage of the "island".
