    BAGHDAD ( Reuters ) -
    announced the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, that his country is considering the possibility of taking "concrete action", in response to the expulsion of the United States 35 Russian diplomat in late 2016.
    Lavrov said at a joint news conference with EU foreign minister, Federica Mujireny in Brussels "If Washington decided not to solve this problem, then we will have to take counter measures, these are the rules of diplomacy, reciprocity and international affairs."
    AFP quoted the Russian minister as saying: "We still hope the United States, as a defender of the rule of law, respect ultimately international obligations."
    The newspaper "Izvestia" Russian diplomatic source said Tuesday without mentioning his name, that Moscow is preparing to expel some 30 US diplomats, as well as the freezing of US assets in Russia.
    Former US President Barack Obama has ordered the expulsion of 35 Russian diplomats with their families from the United States, on charges of interfering in the US presidential election.
    Lavrov felt that the Obama administration "wanted to poison the Russian-US relations to the fullest extent possible, and worked everything they can find in order to manage Trump itself in trouble."

    The Kremlin said Wednesday that Russia's patience is running out in the diplomatic dispute with America after booking Washington headquarters of a Russian diplomatic mission and the expulsion of a number of Russian diplomats in 2016.
