"Israeli corruption" disrupts the German submarine deal

, An Israeli official said Tuesday that Germany has delayed the signing of the sale agreement of the three submarines, due to corruption probe linked to the agreement affects those close to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
It was due to Germany and Israel signed a memorandum of understanding on the sale of submarines "Dolphin" in Berlin next week, according to Israeli media.
It quoted a source in the Israeli National Security Council, who declined to be named as saying "Germany postponed the signing of a memorandum of understanding at the present time."
The newspaper "Yediot Aharonot", which was the first to talk about the postponement of the signing of a memorandum of understanding, that Germany has added a condition to the contract allows it to withdraw from the deal if it turns out have been reached through corruption.
The Israeli police announced earlier this month, they questioned six people, including two officials, on suspicion of money laundering and kickbacks in a deal submarines worth up to two billion dollars.
The spotlight on the deal concluded in 2016 revealed that since Netanyahu's lawyer and his cousin David Shimron, is also the local agent for the group, "Thyssen Corp Marine Systems," the German representative for the construction of ships in charge of building submarines.
But Netanyahu himself is not a suspect in the case so far, at the time under investigation in the cases of taking bribes and negotiate with Neil more supportive of his coverage of a local newspaper. / D ended 25
