    Basra provincial government announced on Sunday the formation of a joint delegation by some of the province's deputies to go to the central government to demand the return of paragraph (e) of Article II of the budget law, which relates to the allocations of the province petrodollar revenues.
    The head of the planning and follow-up committee in the provincial council Nashat Mansouri during a press conference today after the meeting held in the Office of the province with some of the deputies that "the draft budget amendment provided for resetting the petrodollar account for the province of Basra by canceling paragraph (e)."
    He added that "the delegation will demand the need to keep that paragraph, which they considered the only fair for the province of Basra."
    For his part, said the director of planning and contracts in the Office of the province Walaa Abdul Karim, "Basra budget for the year 2017 includes two parts the first petrodollar amounts 297 billion dinars and the other amounts of development of regions worth 38 billion dinars to a total of 335 billion dinars."
