Logan also said that Washington continues to support the Armed Forces of the Philippines in preparing and consulting on counterterrorism issues.
Jeff Davis, a former Pentagon spokesman, said the United States has been sharing intelligence with the Philippines for 15 years, and there are currently few US military personnel supporting his authority against militant militants.
The United States sold to the Philippines two light Cessna 208B aircraft equipped with surveillance devices used for various purposes, including the fight against terrorism, and exceeded the value of the deal $ 30 million.
The United States also provided the Philippine military with 992 rockets and 1,040 rocket engines, as well as its plans to provide the Philippine forces with 250 rocket launchers and 1,000 bombers as part of Manila's counterterrorism assistance.
Last May, Philippine President Rodrigo Duterti announced the imposition of martial law in the province of Mindanao (south), where the city of Marawi, which was attended by some 500 gunmen in the takeover, remains the main hot spot.
