Pentagon prepares plan to attack North Korea

The Pentagon has prepared a plan to pre-empt a missile strike against North Korea's potential missile launch sites if President Donald Trump issues an order.

NBC television quoted sources in the armed forces as saying that the main point of the plan included an attack using strategic bombers of the B-1B Lancer, starting from Andersen base on the island of Guam to hit more than 20 rocket launch sites and its logistics facilities.
Relations between the United States and the DPRK have deteriorated seriously in recent days. Pyongyang is considering the possibility of a missile attack on a US military base on the island of Guam in response to US President Donald Trump's warning that the DPRK would be "fired and angry" if it actually threatened the United States.

The island of Guam includes Andersen Air Force Base and a naval base at the port of Abra.

Has the Pentagon prepared a plan for a pre-emptive strike on North Korea?

    09:12 - 10/08/2017

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Pentagon has prepared a plan to pre-empt a strike against possible missile launch sites in North Korea if President Donald Trump issues an order, the Pentagon said on Thursday.

"The main point of the plan includes an attack using B-1B Lancer rocket launchers from the Andersen base on Guam to hit more than 20 rocket launch sites and its logistics facilities, " NBC television quoted sources in the armed forces as saying . ".

In July, the US airliners fired US strategic bombers, along with South Korean and Japanese aircraft, flying close to North Korea's border in response to Pyongyang's recent missile tests.

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said Wednesday that Pyongyang was considering a possible missile attack on a US military base on the island of Guam in response to US President Donald Trump's warning to the DPRK of "fire and anger" if it actually threatened the United States.
