Hayali and Kubis discuss reconstruction of liberated areas

Defense Minister Irfan Mahmoud al-Hayali discussed with the UN Special Representative to Iraq Jan Kubic the overall security and political situation in the country and the return of the displaced to their areas.
"The two sides reviewed the overall situation on the security and political fronts of the country, as well as discussing the issue of the return of displaced persons to their liberated areas and the reconstruction and provision of services to these areas," a statement issued by the ministry's media office said.
Al-Hayali praised the role of the United Nations in its support for Iraq, especially with regard to the relief of displaced people.
For his part, Park Kubich «the great victories achieved by the armed forces, especially the Iraqi army to liberate the city of Mosul gangs of terror advocates», praising «the humanitarian side exercised by the Iraqi armed forces during the liberation and observance of the defenseless citizens».
