Agreement to increase oil production rates from the fields of Dhi Qar to 150 thousand barrels per day

The Oil and Energy Committee of the Dhi Qar Council announced on Monday its plan to raise the ceiling of oil production in the province to 150 thousand barrels per day and increase the number of wells.
"The committee met today with the director of the oil company Dhi Qar after the company's separation from the Southern Oil Company to discuss the increase of exploration patches in the province and increase production rates."
He added that "it was agreed to raise the rates of oil production from the fields of Dhi Qar from 100 thousand barrels per day to 150 thousand and increase exploratory patches, especially in the patches that are on the borders of Muthanna province."
