BAGHDAD / The parliamentary legal committee on Saturday confirmed that the differences over the Kirkuk election law are still ongoing, pointing out that the political blocs are holding meetings to find the appropriate formulas to solve them, pointing out that reaching a final agreement can be at any moment.

The head of the committee Mohsen al-Saadoun told "Iraq News", that "the differences on the Kirkuk election paragraph within the provincial elections law is still continuing," adding that "therefore do not know whether it will be voted on during today's session or is postponed to the next sessions" .

Al-Saadoun said that "the political blocs hold meetings to find the appropriate formulas to resolve," pointing out that "reaching a final agreement can be at any moment."

The House of Representatives has announced, on the agenda of its 15, which will be held, on Saturday, stressing that the meeting will discuss several proposals and vote on a set of bills, including the exclusion of Basra from the programmed segments of electricity and complete the vote on the provincial elections law.

The House of Representatives voted on Tuesday (15 August 2017) on the provincial elections law except for Kirkuk, while voted during the same session, on the continuation of the work of the provincial councils in the administration of its affairs until the election of new councils. Finished 2
