    The Municipality of Baghdad plans to implement the public transport strategy to dismantle traffic jams by organizing the traffic of vehicles, setting up tunnels and tunnels, and setting up trade exchanges in the regions of the parties.
    The spokesman for the secretariat, Hakim Abdul-Zahra, said in a special statement to "Al-Sabah": "His circle formed joint committees with competent authorities to study the identification of tracks for public transport vehicles, which is included in the public transport strategy aimed at breaking the traffic jams in the capital in coordination with the ministries of transport Reconstruction and housing, Baghdad Operations Command in addition to the General Traffic Directorate and the University of Baghdad. "
    He explained that the aim of the implementation of the strategy is to increase the use of public transport buses and reduce dependence on the use of private transport vehicles, and increase the speed of time reduction in mobility within the capital for all segments of society.
    Al-Zahra pointed out that the Joint Committee is working with the relevant departments to study the possibility of determining fixed routes for public transport buses, which are not allowed to be used by other vehicles, starting from the intersection of the Judicial Institute near Al-Nida Mosque towards Al-Mustansiriya University, In Jadiriyah as a first stage to implement this experiment and will be the first of its kind in the country.
    He added that the Ministry of Construction and Housing and the departments of projects and designs in the Secretariat will examine the development of streets and carrots nominated for the routes of public transport in the first phase with the establishment of tunnels and bridges to be provided for the transit and use of Sabla, while the Ministry of Transport study the possibility of providing special buses for the success of the experiment, Baghdad and the Directorate General Traffic will address the problem of military checkpoints and traffic junctions to ensure the smooth flow of buses, in addition to the participation of the University of Baghdad as the scientific advisory body of the project.
    Spokesman for the Secretariat, revealed that his department has started to find special areas of commercial exchange on the outskirts of Baghdad in order to protect the infrastructure and maintain the design capacity of the main streets of the damage due to large loads.
    It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Transport in coordination with the Secretariat of Baghdad embarked on the use of river transport across the Tigris River through stations from Adhamiya and Karayat to Baghdad University in Jadiriyah.
    The Secretariat of Baghdad has completed the preparation of all the design schemes for the establishment of four microscopes in the areas of Sheikh Omar and Maysaloun and Jadriya and Adhamiya.
