Abadi Meets with Foreign Minister of Palestine and Saudi Minister

Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi received Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki and Saudi Trade Minister Majid al-Kasabi in two separate meetings.
A statement by the Prime Minister's Office said he "received in his office on Wednesday Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki and his accompanying delegation."
The Palestinian foreign minister said, "I congratulate the victories achieved on terrorism and praise the leadership of the field of slaves," saying that it "represented an important image of the leadership in the Arab peoples."
"The victory of Iraq, which bears the burden of responsibility in fighting terrorism, represents a victory for all countries in the region," Maliki said. "Without the victory of Iraq, the countries of the region would be in danger," he said.
Earlier, Abadi met with Saudi Minister of Trade and Investment Majid bin Abdullah al-Qasabi, who arrived in Baghdad on Tuesday night.
The Saudi minister's visit comes as part of a series of visits exchanged between Baghdad and Riyadh recently in the framework of normalization of political relations and diplomats between the two sides.
"The Saudi Minister of Trade and Investment, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah al-Qasabi, met on Tuesday evening with a large delegation of government officials in the economic files and businessmen," a statement from the Prime Minister's Office said.
"During the meeting, they discussed enhancing the bilateral relations between the two countries in the fields of economy, trade, agriculture and investment, in addition to the petrochemical industries," the statement said.
"Saudi Arabia's desire for economic openness, trade exchanges, strengthening brotherly relations between the two countries, economic partnership, looking forward to the interests of the two peoples and correcting the previous tracks," the minister said.
