Turkish Foreign Minister Perul Artem, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Turkish parliament, revealed on Sunday a meeting between President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad.
"The war in Syria is nearing completion and the confrontations are limited only in the areas controlled by the terrorist organizations," the Turkish daily Zaman reported. "This reflects that the war in Syria is nearing completion."
He added that "the world realized that the Syrian crisis can not be resolved without Syrian President Bashar al-Assad," adding that Erdogan and Assad will meet "soon."
"He proposed to Erdogan's regime to solve the Syrian problem by negotiating with the Syrian regime from the beginning rather than completely severing relations with the regime in Syria," said Artem, a deputy of the Republican People's Party. Ending / 25
