(International: Euphrates News) European ambassadors to the United States warned US President Donald Trump, the consequences of abandoning the nuclear agreement with Iran.
A meeting of ambassadors and experts was held in Washington on Monday to discuss the future of the agreement reached in 2015 between six world powers and Iran over the latter's nuclear development.
Trump is said to be considering options including withdrawal from the deal. On Tuesday, he told the UN General Assembly that the agreement "is not exaggerated if we call it embarrassing." A day later he told reporters he had reached a decision, but did not say what it was.
"Iran is fully implementing the terms of the agreement and the European Union considers it a successful agreement," EU Ambassador David O'Sullivan said.
"The abandonment of the agreement could be a major loss," said German ambassador Peter Vittig. "It means losing control over Iran's nuclear development program."
