    [ltr]Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview with the UN envoy to Syria, Stefan de Mistura, that the operation against "Dahesh" will end soon.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The situation in Syria, with regard to the ultimate success in the fight against terrorism, is nearing completion," Lavrov said, referring to the defeat of terrorists by the efforts of all those who are fighting the "foes" and the "victory front".[/ltr]
    [ltr]"We support in this context the need to activate the political process in full, and allow your visit to work to reach an agreement on the identification of steps to coordinate efforts between the participants in the processes of Astana and Geneva We expect soon to take practical steps to hold new meetings in this framework."[/ltr]
    [ltr]He called on Lavrov de Mistura to discuss possible steps to implement UN Security Council Resolution 2254 and continue the dialogue he began yesterday with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shweigo.[/ltr]
    [ltr]For his part, the UN special envoy announced that the new round of Syrian negotiations in Geneva will be held in November, adding that the UN Security Council will hold on 25 October a meeting dedicated to the situation in Syria for consultations on moving the political process in this country.[/ltr]
