[rtl]Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan the latest developments in the Syrian crisis and expressed their satisfaction with the cooperation between the two sides within the framework of the Astana platform. He also discussed preparations for the new round of talks in Astana at the end of October.[/rtl]
[rtl]"In the course of the exchange, there was a detailed exchange of views on the Syrian issue and a positive assessment of the joint action within the framework of the Astana process, which was reflected in the establishment of areas for reducing the escalation in Syria," the Kremlin said in a statement.[/rtl]
[rtl]According to the Kremlin's statement, the two presidents discussed "the prospects for holding the seventh meeting on Syria in the Kazakh capital in late October."[/rtl]
[rtl]The Kremlin statement noted that the telephone conversation between Putin and Erdogan included "practical aspects of the subsequent coordination of efforts to resolve the situation in Syria." He also stressed that both parties "expressed satisfaction with the current situation of the development of Russian-Turkish cooperation in various fields."[/rtl]
[rtl]"The agreements reached at the 28 September summit in Astana are being successfully implemented, including in the commercial and economic sector," the Kremlin said in a statement.[/rtl]
