    [ltr]An unknown person carried out an armed attack on a student and his friend at a university campus in the state of Louisiana in the early hours of Wednesday, killing them and fleeing, officials said.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The shooting occurred around midnight near the student dormitory at the Grambling State University, a state-run institution frequented by blacks historically, in the north of the state.[/ltr]
    [ltr]University spokesman Earl Andrews, 23, and his friend Monkierios Coldwell, 23, both from Farmerville, Louisiana, said the victims were 23-year-old university student Earl Andrews. "No one else was hurt."[/ltr]
    [ltr]The local police office in Lincoln Parish did not comment on the incident, but reports said the shooting began after an argument inside a dormitory.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The University said on Twitter that "the offices of the Grambling State University are open during regular working hours, and students must attend the scheduled courses."[/ltr]
