A Lebanese official said Sunday that the three Lebanese kidnapped in Iraq had been released.
"The Lebanese released Emad al-Khatib, Nader Hamadeh and George Batruni, who were abducted when they arrived in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Sunday," the 24-page website said.
"Three Lebanese have been kidnapped or disappeared," Interior Ministry spokesman Brigadier General Saad Maan said Thursday. "We are investigating the matter under the supervision of the interior minister."
The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants announced on Tuesday that three Lebanese citizens were kidnapped when they arrived in Baghdad on Sunday.
