    Commission Council sworn in

     Baghdad / Range

Members of the Electoral Commission, yesterday, sworn in before the Presidency of the Supreme Judicial Council, days after the vote of the House of Representatives.
"The members of the Independent High Electoral Commission (IHEC) attended, on Sunday, the headquarters of the Supreme Judicial Council and were sworn in before the President of the Supreme Judicial Council," Judge Abdul Sattar Birqdar, spokesman for the Judicial Council, said in a statement received by al-Mada.
"The oath was followed by a speech by Judge Faik Zidane to the members wishing them to pay and reconcile in the performance of their tasks to achieve the interests and aspirations of the Iraqi people."
The Iraqi parliament voted during its session on the 23rd of this month on four lists that included the names of the candidates for the new electoral commission, and the list (B) received 152 votes out of 176 votes.
He accused the civil current, two days after the parliamentary vote, the names of candidates, political forces to adopt the approach of quotas through the passage of candidates in the Council of the new Electoral Commission, and vowed to continue the demonstrations in response to what he called the "invalid round."
