[ltr]Vice President Nuri al-Maliki accused French President Emmanuel Macaron of criticizing his statements calling for dissolving the Popular Struggle Organization, stressing the refusal of any state intervention and imposing its will on the Iraqi government.[/ltr]
[ltr]Al-Maliki's remarks came in response to questions posed by journalists through his media window, which focused on his position on the French president's statements and his demand to dissolve the popular crowd.[/ltr]
[ltr]"The French Constitution speaks of non-interference in the affairs of other countries of the world, but we are surprised by French President Emmanuel Macaron's interference in Iraq's internal affairs and demands the dissolution of a legal institution is the popular body Mujahid ".[/ltr]
[ltr]"These positions are strongly rejected by France and affect the sovereignty and institutions of Iraq, and even contradict the French Constitution[/ltr]
[ltr]"We do not want any country to impose its will on the Iraqi government and the will of our heroic Iraqi people," he said.[/ltr]
[ltr]"The Iraqi armed forces, the police force, the popular crowd and the tribal fighters are Iraqi forces who are entrenched in a single trench in the war to eliminate terrorism," he said.[/ltr]
[ltr]He called on the political blocs to "a unified position on any interference in the affairs of Iraq from any country was, and any argument or justification."[/ltr]
[ltr]French President Emmanuel Macaron reiterated his country's firm stance on the unity and territorial integrity of Iraq and its support for the extension of federal authority in Iraq[/ltr]
[ltr]This came during a telephone call received by Prime Minister Dr. Haider Abadi from French President Emmanuel Macaron.[/ltr]
[ltr]For his part, Dr. Haider al-Abadi stressed the importance of unifying all efforts to respond to the challenges of building and reconstruction and the requirements of the stage of victory and liberation despite the financial and economic difficulties that require the distribution of wealth in a fair manner to all the people of Iraq and in accordance with the constitutional entitlements.[/ltr]
[ltr]The two presidents also stressed the need to resolve the problems through dialogue and adherence to the Constitution and territorial integrity of Iraq.[/ltr]
[ltr]On Saturday, French President Emmanuel Macaron called on the Iraqi authorities to dismantle all armed factions, including the Popular Forces.[/ltr]
