Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul Aziz told US President Donald Trump that the transfer of the US embassy to Jerusalem is "a dangerous step that will inflame the feelings of Muslims."
King Salman stressed his country's support for the historic rights of the Palestinian people, pointing out that this step will have serious repercussions in the region.
"Any American announcement on the status of Jerusalem before reaching a final settlement will harm peace negotiations and increase tension in the region," the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques said in a telephone conversation with Trump on Tuesday night.
"The kingdom has been and continues to support the historic rights of the Palestinian people," Salman said.
