    [ltr]Next week, the joint committee between Baghdad and Erbil, working in the capital Baghdad to check the salaries of employees of two ministries in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The General Secretariat of the Iraqi Council of Ministers decided to form a joint committee to audit the salaries of employees of the ministries of health and education in the Kurdistan Regional Government.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The committee includes seven members, five of them representing the federal government, and two members of the Kurdistan Regional Government.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The work of auditing the salaries of the Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan region will end within the next two days," said Vian Mohammed, a member of the Committee in a press statement, "Mawazin News" on Saturday that "the committee will begin its work in Baghdad next week."[/ltr]
    [ltr]The committee includes Qassim Attiyah, the Deputy Minister of Planning and the head of the committee; Tarek Ali Alani, a member of the Advisory Committee; Nayef Samer Hassan, director general of planning at the Federal Ministry of Education; Hana Ahmed Ghazi, Director General of Administrative Affairs, In the Federal Ministry of Health, and Fayin Hussein, Director General of Planning in the Ministry of Health in the Kurdistan region, and Yusuf Osman, Director of Planning in the Ministry of Education in the region.[/ltr]
    [ltr]This came at a time when the Council of Ministers of the Kurdistan region, on Saturday, on the bill to reform salaries, pensions and allowances.[/ltr]
    [ltr]"The draft law consists of 20 articles for reform in the areas of salaries of employees and retirees," said Amang Rahim, secretary of the Council of Ministers of the Kurdistan Region in a statement read / Mawazin News / a copy of it, "The bill was approved by the Kurdistan Regional Government, Issued by the Council of Ministers No. 129 ".[/ltr]
    [ltr]He added that "the draft law will be passed to the Parliament of Kurdistan for the purpose of voting on it," noting that "the law after the vote is due to enter into force during the first 90 days of the new fiscal year 2018."[/ltr]
    [ltr]The spokesman for the Prime Minister's Office, Saad al-Hadithi said that "the technical committees of the government invited the technical committees of the Kurdistan Regional Government to discuss the management of the border file as well as the aspect of salaries of employees of Kurdistan."[/ltr]
    [ltr]The Kurdistan Regional Government has confirmed on Thursday its readiness to provide the concerned authorities in the federal government with the required information and figures and the list of employees of the Kurdistan region under the biometric system. "Securing the salaries of Kurdistan region employees will be a priority for the government in 2018," he said.[/ltr]
    [ltr]The local government in the region, after a meeting held under the chairmanship of Najran Barzani, expressed readiness to "receive any initiative or step to secure salaries and financial benefits to the Kurdistan region by constitutional means."[/ltr]
    [ltr]"We started paying the salaries of the water resources workers in the region and we have an audit of the salaries of education and health in the region," Abbadi said at his last weekly conference.[/ltr]
    [ltr]He added that the Ministry of Finance was assigned to go to the region to check the salaries of all employees.[/ltr]
