Irish troops leave "Ain al-Assad" after the end of its tasks

    Translated by Hamid Ahmed

A battalion of 200 Irish soldiers left Iraq after completing their duties in training the security forces at the base of Ayn al-Assad in Anbar, which was instrumental in assigning these forces during the liberation of the cities of Rawa and Aana and Qaim, which he controlled in 2014.
A spokesman for the British Ministry of Defense said soldiers from the Riffel-2 regiment at the Irish base of Lizborn had been deployed in Iraq six months ago as part of an effort by the international coalition to fight Dahedesh, who worked under high temperatures in Anbar province above 45 degrees Celsius.
As part of the UK's ongoing contribution to security in Iraq, the Irish forces have been involved in providing protection to thousands of coalition forces and pilots at the Ain al-Assad base in Anbar as well as training missions, the spokesman said. He pointed out that the soldiers of the Raiffel-2 battalion also helped in the support of the Iraqi military operations to restore the cities of Ana, Rawa and Al-Qaim in Anbar province, controlled by the call in 2014.
Rival-2 soldiers patiently treated Iraq's high summer temperatures, which exceeded 45 degrees Celsius when they were sent to the country six months ago, and were also away from their families during the Christmas celebrations, but they ended their mission with pride and patience. "During their missions in Iraq, the soldiers stood for long hours on the mission of guarding al Qaeda, as well as performing hundreds of training courses for Iraqi soldiers and carrying out security patrols," the spokesman said.
The spokesman said that with the completion of the training now in Iraq, the soldiers will return to their homeland, but there are a number of other soldiers of the Irish battalion at the base of Lizborn, waiting for new tasks in 2018.
