Parliamentary services demanding the return of operational contracts for airlines

A member of the Parliamentary Services Committee Sabah al-Tamimi, Saturday, the Ministry of Transport to suspend the decision to terminate the operational contracts in Iraqi Airways, warning of the "depletion" in the event of the continuation of the decision.
Al-Tamimi said in a statement obtained by "Economy News", a copy of it, "The recent decision of the Council of Ministers provides for the termination of contracts that took place in 2017 because the budget did not include degrees of employment and financial allocation did not refer to the suspension of contracts in 2016."
"If the Ministry of Transport does not back down on this decision, more than 1,800 contracts will be canceled over the next few weeks, including the contracts of the families of the martyrs and the first and a large number of aircraft engineers and technicians," she added.
Al-Tamimi called on the Ministry of Transport to "be aware of the seriousness of this procedure, which may lead to the deterioration of airlines, especially that at the beginning of next year will be transferred more than 500 employees to retire with the loss of young competencies capable of leading the Iraqi Airways and elevate them to the highest levels."
