The four-party alliance is holding a meeting in Baghdad headed by an Iraqi

     Baghdad / Range

A meeting of the four-nation security and military alliance, which includes Syria, Iran, Russia and Iraq, was held in Baghdad on Monday and discussed strengthening cooperation in combating terrorism.
The four-way center was set up in 2015 to confront a hasty organization in Iraq and Syria, provide military and intelligence advice to both countries, and coordinate cooperation between the four countries in this area.
The Iranian news agency IRNA revealed the meeting, which was chaired by the head of the Iraqi military intelligence service, the head of the quadripartite center, Major General Saad al-Alak, and the membership of the military attachés of the other three countries, in addition to the Iranian ambassador in Iraq, Airj Masjedi.
The meeting discussed "detailed security and intelligence reports on combating terrorism". The participants emphasized "the need to strengthen the Center's activity and develop its work".
"A supporter has been defeated, but his new movements and other terrorists should be monitored, in the context of new groups and names, and their attempts to destabilize Iraq," Maj. Gen. al-Alaq said.
Al-Aalak said that the role of the Quartet is "very influential and very important in the war against Da'ash," praising "Iran's standing with Iraq and its continuing support for the Iraqi government and people in a post-urgent stage."
For his part, Iranian Ambassador Masjidi pointed to "the importance attached by his country to multilateral cooperation, especially among the countries of this center," stressing "Tehran's readiness to continue the activities of this center at any level of cooperation is agreed upon."
"The exchange of information, in particular the provision of intelligence to the Iraqi forces in uncovering and targeting the sensitive and sensitive sites of Da'ash and other terrorists in Iraq and some cases in Syria," said the Iranian military attaché in Baghdad, Maj. Mustafa Mardian. Is also one of the most important and successful activities for this center. "
