    Babil police confirmed that they are following up drug dealers and drug users in coordination with some sources, pointing to the arrest of a large drug dealer in one of the areas of the center of the province. 
    This came during an extended symposium organized by the Department of Health Babylon attended by doctors and specialists and civil activists and dealt with the subject of drugs. 
    The seminar issued several recommendations that formed future action plans aimed at reducing the risks of this scourge on the individual and society. 
    The director of the Department of Health of Babylon and Chairman of the Committee on the Control of Narcotics and Psychotropic substances in Babil province, Nawras Abdul Razzaq al-Kasbi, said (the extent) that his department "continues in cooperation with other concerned bodies awareness campaign to identify the economic, social and health effects of the abuse of drugs and psychotropic substances and urged the community to move away from This behavior is destructive. " 
    "Drugs are a kind of intellectual terrorism and organized crime that kills the individual and society, which requires a serious and firm stance in which all concerned parties take part in protecting against the immediate and future dangers of drugs," he said.
    In his turn, the legal adviser to the Department of Health of Babel Kamal Rahim Aziz told (the extent) that "drugs are a scourge that threatens the individual and society and is the destruction of his energies and that the Department of Health of Babylon held this seminar to define the subject as a danger to our youth and a way of destruction and crime. 
    In the meantime, the official of the mental health unit in the Health Department of Babel, Haider Jaber Al-Habib told (the extent) that "the seminar examined the subject of drugs in-depth study and came out with recommendations, including the Law No. (50) on drugs and activating the Committee of Cafes and Arkaila and intensify awareness campaigns in schools Institutes and colleges and to educate prisoners and detainees about the dangers of addiction and substance abuse. "
    Al-Habib pointed out that "among the recommendations are the definition of citizens in the legal articles included in the law (50) for the year 2017, which includes severe penalties against violators and up to the death penalty and life imprisonment and the placement of addicts and abusers in the corridors of addiction treatment in hospitals by the competent courts and activating the role of doctors' Medicines in private pharmacies and ways to give them to patients. " 
    In the meantime, the official spokesman for the police of Babel, Colonel Adel al-Husseini, told (Al-Mada) that "the conservative police are following the promoters and drug abusers and psychotropic substances in coordination with some sources and intensifying the intelligence work and follow-up those wanted to protect society."
    He added that "the detachments from the Office of Drug Control in conjunction with the elite forces of the Swat Swift and riot riot was able to arrest an important drug dealer during the raid and go to his home in the area of ​​Mahatta in the center of the city of Hilla," asserting "the seizure of quantities of crystal material and tablets and psychotropic substances To a blue-colored material of unknown type and other raw materials used in the manufacture of drugs in his possession.
