    Welcomed U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, Tuesday, by the Iraqi parliament on the law of parliamentary elections, and stressed that the vote on the law gives a picture of "the power of democratic institutions in Iraq, while thanked" all of the Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and President of Kurdistan, Massoud Barzani, the head of House Speaker Osama Najafi's "Achieving this milestone."

    He said Biden in a statement issued by his office and seen (long-Presse) a copy of it, "The United States welcomes the enactment of the Iraqi parliament, which came proceeds of many weeks of negotiation and consensus between the political blocs major," and underlined that "the adoption of the law gives a picture of the strength of democratic institutions in Iraq, which stood up to terrorism. "

    He said Biden "I salute and thank the leadership of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki and President of Kurdistan, Massoud Barzani, and Parliament Speaker Osama Najafi to achieve this feat," adding that "the next election will provide the Iraqi people the opportunity to choose the direction that the country."

    And U.S. Vice President confirmed that "his country is continuing its pledge to strengthen bilateral relations with Iraq in all areas according to the strategic framework agreement, including efforts to support and strengthen Iraq's democracy and democratic institutions as defined and enshrined in the Iraqi constitution."
