The Senate approves short-term funding for the US government

Seventy-one council members voted in favor of the bill in exchange for 28 opposing votes, with the bill being presented to the US Congress for a vote and then the White House for President Donald Trump's signature.
If this scenario is implemented, the current government funding will be extended until March 23, allowing time for Congress to formulate details of a two-year funding plan.
So far, it is not clear whether the funding project will get enough votes from the US Congress.
The US government has entered into a new closure after the failure to offer a long-term funding project to the US government to Congress because of the opposition of a senator from the Republicans.
