MP of the coalition of state law, Mohamed Chihod, on Saturday, the announcement of the US administration not to contribute funds at the Kuwait Conference for the reconstruction of Iraq, political positions and popular rejection of its military presence, considering that the United States is concerned before others to support Iraq financially.
"The US administration is trying to punish Iraq financially after its recent positions rejecting any American military presence on its territory," Chihod said in a press statement. "The recent decision not to contribute money to the Kuwait conference came on this basis."
He added that "Washington is concerned before Iraq to support Iraq materially," stressing that "Iraq's rejection of any American compromise includes the survival of US forces or the international coalition in the country."
The Reuters news agency said earlier that the United States does not intend to contribute any money at a conference for the reconstruction of Iraq in Kuwait next week, considering it a new blow to Washington's standing on the international scene.
