WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Relations between the United States and Iraq have worsened since US President Donald Trump took power, a US report said Saturday.
"Relations between Iraq and Washington have worsened since US President Donald Trump took power in January 2017," Newsweek said in a report.
"Relations between Washington and Baghdad have been strained since Trump announced that Iraqi citizens would be prevented from traveling to the United States under the travel ban issued in January 2017, which Iraq was exempted from following the Iraqi government's protests," it said.
The MP from the coalition of state law, Mohamed Chihod linked the declaration of the US administration not to contribute funds at the Kuwait Conference for the reconstruction of Iraq, political positions and popular rejection of its military presence, saying that the United States is concerned before others to support Iraq financially.
