    [ltr]Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called for an international peace conference to be held mid-year on the basis of international legitimacy resolutions, with broad participation involving the parties concerned and regional and international parties.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Abbas said in a speech to the Security Council that the peace conference could be modeled on the Paris peace conference or the conference in Moscow, as called for in Security Council resolution 1850, with the outcome of the conference being as follows:[/ltr]
    [ltr]The admission of the State of Palestine as a full member of the United Nations[/ltr]
    [ltr]Exchange of recognition between the State of Palestine and the State of Israel on the 1967 borders[/ltr]
    [ltr]Formation of a multilateral international mechanism to assist both sides in the negotiations to resolve all permanent status issues according to the Oslo Agreement[/ltr]
    [ltr]Abbas called on all parties to stop taking unilateral action, especially stopping settlement activities in the occupied territories, freezing the resolution recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, stopping the transfer of the US embassy to Jerusalem, and not joining the international organizations.[/ltr]
    [ltr]Abbas called for the implementation of the Arab peace initiative as adopted, and the conclusion of a regional agreement when a peace agreement between the Palestinians and the Israelis[/ltr]
