In Basra, Iraqi areas turn into Kuwaiti sovereignty. According to the "border demarcation"

An
informed source from the Iraqi border guards, on Thursday, a meeting
gathering the border guards of the Iraqi and Kuwaiti, a Committee of the
United Nations to study the implementation of the agreements between
the Governments of the two countries to demarcate a new border between
them, adding that there were 250 homes inhabited by Iraqi Umm Qasr will
be cleared of its population into the territories to Kuwaiti sovereignty
by these agreements, the Government expressed its displeasure at the
local Basra of "forcing Iraq to give up its territory."
The
source said in an interview with the (range) that "the Commander of the
fourth brigade area border guard Hakeem Jassim had visited the area
Deputy Officer in the Umm Qasr area and listen to the demands of its
inhabitants who demanded material compensation for evacuated homes would
turn its territory into Kuwaiti sovereignty."
The source, who
asked not to be named said "this visit came after a meeting gathering
the leaders of the border troops of the Iraqi and Kuwaiti, a Committee
of the United Nations for the border sites in the Umm Qasr area
corresponding to the Kuwaiti Abdali city covered by agreements between
the Governments of the two countries to demarcate a new border between
them".
For its part, the Government of Iraq for its part, the
local "upset of the inappropriate timing of the demarcation of the
border with Kuwait and that Iraq is obliged to accept this in order to
raise the item VII and the settlement of the debt and the issue of Iraqi
Airways and missing Kuwaitis that Iraq carried a huge burden impact
losing part of its territory."

located in the sanctuaries of the Iraq-Kuwait border to develop security

And
many Iraqi officials objected after the fall of the former regime in
2003 to complete the demarcation of the land boundary between the two
countries in accordance with resolution 833, as that decision imposed on
Iraq under international pressure and in extraordinary circumstances.
In
2005, dozens of residents attacked in Safwan and Umm Qasr, a foreign
company was the pipeline for demarcation of the land boundary, the
protests and the attendant night mortar shelling to stop working on the
project before its completion.
